Are you an enthusiastic Vet looking for a change, in a practice with a supportive team, who are friends, not just colleagues? Do you enjoy seeing a wide variety of cases and building client relationships with continuity of care? Would you like to work close to Glasgow City in a purpose built practice with an exceptional team and enjoy coming to work every day? If so, we would love to hear from you!
One of their lovely Vets is sadly moving on to pastures new, to experience Farm and Equine practice and so they are looking to recruit a Full time Vet to join this fantastic team. You will join the Practice Partner, with 15 years of experience, and their team of one other experienced Vet, who is currently completing a Medicine certificate supported by the practice, 2 experienced RVN’s, 1 SVN, soon due to graduate, a Practice Manager and 3 Client Care Advisors. They would love to recruit an enthusiastic, easy going and fun loving Vet who can share their passion to work hard and provide gold standard care to their clients and patients.
The ideal candidate will be personable, have good clinical skills, be confident with consultations and routine procedures, and have excellent communication skills. Communication is very important to the practice, being able to build a rapport with their clients is an essential skill, as is the ability to support all colleagues. They work best by discussing cases, sharing opinions and expertise and supporting each other in practice.
They offer a 4 day week, with no OOH and a 1 in 3 weekend rota. They offer 15 minute consultations, but extended consults can be arranged for more complex cases. The diary is well organised with emergency “on the day” slots and admin time given to all vets. A good mix of consults and theatre time is offered to all vets. Lunches are also guaranteed.
During the week, there is no sole charge, however sole charge will be required on weekends, with the support of our experienced RVN’s.
They are accredited with the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, are a Nurse Training practice and they have an excellent reputation in the local area. They regularly achieve high customer satisfaction and their client retention is high due to the service they provide.
Salary & Benefits:
In return for your dedication and commitment to the practice, they are happy to support a specialist interest. Although all areas of interest would be beneficial, a surgical bias would be preferred to complement their medicine colleague. Other CPD is supported and funded. 5 weeks holiday per year plus an extra day for your birthday. RCVS and VDS fees are covered by the practice. The salary will range from £32-42k depending on experience. There is a contributory pension scheme for all colleagues. New graduates are welcome to apply as support can be offered.
