Full Description

Want to look forward to going to work each day? Love being part of a team that genuinely cares for each other?

We are looking for a vet with at least one year’s experience to become part of this highly professional and forward thinking team. They are looking someone who is dedicated to high quality patient care, clinical standards, and most importantly is enthusiastic and passionate about their job.

They are a team of thirty colleagues who strive each and every day to deliver clinical excellence as well as create the best possible client experience. They believe in team work and live each day by the practice values, they treat others how they would like to be treated, they have each other’s backs, they have fun, they laugh (a lot), they have excellent communication, they encourage each other and most importantly they allow each-other balance, between work and life. They know each person is different and what inspires and motivates one person, doesn’t necessarily do the same for someone else, that’s why they tailor their packages and rotas to each individual colleague to make it personal. They believe in being flexible, understanding and compassionate and  pride ourselves on this. They truly have a wonderful team so finding the ‘right’ person is very important to them.

What they want:

You must be passionate about the veterinary community, you need to have a positive attitude, you aren’t afraid to make changes and are happy to voice your opinion. They want you to use your initiative, share your experience, support your colleagues and be there for them when they need you. You must be a team player and demonstrate this by attending the odd night out, drinks after work (when we can eventually do these things again!) and generally enjoy having a good laugh! They would love you to know what you want and know your balance, tell us and let us help create that, we want honesty!

Freedom and progression:

You'll also have access to great equipment to fulfil your role and have a forward thinking team to help you progress. We want someone who can bring their own ideas, and if applicable depending on experience take a lead and offer direction/mentorship to our younger colleagues.

We place real importance on ongoing client care and continuity across cases so you can develop your own client base.  There’s a healthy case load for those who already have/would like to study towards a certificate too.

You will be based at either the Ayr or Irvine practice but have support of the team across both practices - 9 Vets and 9 RVNs.

  • 1:4 full daytime weekend rota with no sole charge if applicable or OOH
  • Full time 4 days per week or hours to suit
  • Professional fees paid, including VDS,BVA and RCVS
  • CPD encouraged- generous allowance plus days off
  • Pension
  • Company benefits scheme
  • Opportunity to start at/work towards clinical lead level
  • Salary up to £50,000 DOE
