We are looking to recruit a Senior Surgical Nurse to work from this Hospital in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The role is perfect for a surgically biased nurse looking to take the next step in their career. Working alongside the  Advanced Practitioner in surgery you will be responsible for maintaining surgical and theatre standards, ordering surgical stock and the smooth running of the daily ops list. Interesting case load of ortho, neuro and soft tissue cases and regular opportunities to scrub in with procedures.

They are a friendly and supportive team and are looking for an RVN passionate about patient care to come and join us. They offer plentiful opportunities to be involved with in depth cases, fully utilising your nursing skills and knowledge. They have exceptional nurse leaders who promote a culture of learning, self-development and collaboration between all departments. Their RVN’s are respected, appreciated and valued for the essential contribution they provide to the practice.

This is a full-time position working a 40-hour week, with 1:4 weekends, however Part Time applicants are welcome and can be considered as a job share. Holidays are 22 days per year plus BH allowance. Whilst they do require Bank Holiday cover throughout the year, this is shared equally amongst the team and they fully close the practice on Christmas Day allowing everyone to enjoy the day with their family.

Applicants with surgical interests plus emergency and critical care or anaesthesia bias would be welcome. Clinical Coach duties are required however training can be provided. Post graduate certificates in all disciplines are welcome and there is the opportunity to undertake additional certification for those who are interested. Salary £24,750 up to £28,000 for Dip Holder/equiv.
