The Role:

This exciting opportunity has arisen as the practice based in Mossley, Greater Manchester has recently become the main centre in the region providing 24 hour care for all surrounding clinics.

The clinic is well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, endoscopy, laparoscopy, video otoscope, in house blood machines, separate day and night teams for 24 hour care on site. 

They are now looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join them as part of our dedicated night team. A client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills is a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard both medically and surgically whilst working sole charge.

They have fantastic clients and are very active in the local community. You will be working within the well-equipped practice including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, laparoscope, video otoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser. Plans for CT machine on site in the future. 

Salary & Hours:

This role has a rota of 7 nights working followed by 14 nights off. The shifts are 19:00 - 08:00. 

They are offering a very competitive salary package with accommodation and vehicle allowance. A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress. RCVS, VDS and BVA membership paid. 5 weeks annual leave allowance (FTE) plus blank holidays included into working pattern.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team.
