An Imaging Veterinary Surgeon is required to manage the CT/MRI department within our fantastic 24-Hour Hospital.
The department is housed in a separate Advanced Imaging Building in the extensive main hospital gardens. The building also has an arthroscopy/spinal theatre and a kennel room. Here, you will work alongside a dedicated Imaging RVN.
The role primarily involves performing CT and MRI scans after making an initial clinical assessment and differential diagnosis list for a vast range and number of cases. Ability to Ultrasound would also be an advantage. There is the benefit of external support, as the images are sent to our specialist team at VetCT for a full diagnostic report.
The salary is up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience including housing allowance, vehicle or allowance. A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress with 3-days CPD leave. RCVS, VDS and BVA membership is also provided. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
This role works to a 4-day week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends and a fair share of bank holiday duties. There is also an on-call rota to support our night team, approx. 3 weeks on call per year, if required.
