As the Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will work closely with the Hospital Lead to ensure that clinically, the hospital is operating efficiently and in a sustainable way and that standards and processes are consistent with the other hospitals in the group. It will be your responsibility to ensure that veterinary services, including an out of hours provision are delivered at the hospital which you will do by working closely with the Hospital Lead and Head of Hospital Operations.

In this role you will undertake routine clinical and surgical work as well as lead a team of veterinary surgeons providing advice, guidance and mentoring team members. Continuous learning and development is important and you will role model this by driving a culture of ongoing training which ensures RCVS criteria is in place and all clinical team members have development plans.

What is required?
• Veterinary Degree and Member of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
• Significant experience in small or mixed animal practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in line management and leading teams through progressive change and continuous improvement
