A fabulous opportunity to join a thriving state of the art practice in West Sussex has arisen. They are looking for exceptional RVNs who enjoy the challenge and variety of emergency work and are enthusiastic about nursing patients to the highest standards.
Supporting their night nurses, they are seeking two registered veterinary nurses for a new shift within the team working a twilight role. They are excited to be able to offer these new shifts which enable RVNs who have a passion for ECC to work in an emergency setting without the commitment of a full-time night rota.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of general nursing, including emergency medical and surgical nursing and complicated anaesthetics. - Good personal skills are essential and the candidate will be encouraged to maintain continuity with clients and see cases through to a conclusion. - It is therefore vitally important that the nurses who join have excellent communication skills and understands the importance of teamwork.
The role will involve triaging first opinion emergencies, assisting the vet with emergency stabilisation and providing continuous care for the inpatients. - Working alongside experienced, friendly and dedicated ECC vets who are excellent team players. - The rota pattern is 5 on 5 off of twilight shifts: exact hours dependent on whether the applicant is fulltime or part-time; both options will be considered. - Although experience in emergency care is preferred this is not essential and they would consider applicants with a strong passion for this discipline. Funding towards an ECC certificate will also be considered. Remuneration/Package: - Salary subject to experience (£25000-27000 full time equivalent). - Holiday of 5.6 weeks per year. - CPD allowance £500. - Auto enrolment pension scheme. - Support for a Certificate if required and training agreements considered.
